Chicago BFA Acting Programs

I am currently making a definite list of colleges to audition for this school year (I'm a senior.) I'm (so far) applying to schools in a variety of locations: Rutgers, SUNY Purchase, FSU, The Hartt School, OKCU, CCM, and NCSA, etc.

I would love to, however, go to school in Chicago (or around the Chicago area.) I know that Chicago is a GREAT place for an actor, and networking within the city would help me immensely. However, I'm having trouble finding schools. DePaul looks great, but that's all I have so far. Any other suggestions?

Also, does anyone know of any schools that have student showcases in Chicago as well as NY/LA?

Thanks!

Look at Roosevelt. Your list is top heavy on top programs that are very competitive and your list could use more balance.

The Theatre School at DePaul University is the best place to study if you want to be in the Chicago area. They basically run that town.

Columbia College in Chicago is not difficult to get into. We have a friend who goes there and loves it.

I go to columbia college chicago. you don't have to audition to get into the school or theatre program but you do audition to get into the BFA program and once you're BFA you have to be in one show a semester (which can become difficult as you're auditioning for shows against a large casting pool, particularly if you're a woman).

I don't feel competitiveness between my classmates, everyone is mostly friendly and collaborative... but it is a large department (since there isn't an audition into the school/major) and there is a wide range of skill levels.
