Western schools

Can anyone name some schools in California, Washington and Oregon that are strong in drama? Any thoughts on Lewis and Clark or Whitman?

I'm a theatre major/MT minor at USC. It's a fantastic program, if you have any questions let me know!

California: UCLA, UCI, USC, SFSU, Cal State Fullerton, CalArts, Chapman. The best theater schools in California tend to be in Southern California and to feed to the film industry.

Search on this subject and you can find lots of information here and on the musical theater forum. The following is helpful:
Theatre/Musical Theatre schools in California?

One interesting pick in Oregon is SOU in Ashland with internships at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival which has some of the best theater anywhere.

Don't forget UCSB and UCSD. I don't know any in Washington. In Seattle, there is Cornish, but you don't audition until the end of Freshman year.

I know the theatre at Whitman is strong - Princeton Review ranked them #12 amongst liberal arts colleges for theatre. There's a few articles in this month's Whitman magazine on their website about their theater's 50th anniversary - their history, all the successful alumni in NY, etc.
