I think last year's weekend was in the middle of AP testing, but aren't all the dates (like semifinalist notification, semifinalist app due) a couple of weeks behind last year?

I hope not, but then maybe we should expect the entire process to be a few weeks behind...

Hey guys... I am a semifinalist and the toyota website stated that both winners and non-winners will be notified starting mid April.. now what they consider mid April, I do not know... but I am guessing that they are going to start notifying soon.

Hey Guys- What are some of the projects that you guys were involved with... I was reading some of the snapshots from the winners of 2008 and they did some inmpressive things! I help found a educational foundation which benefits both my school and community. Annually, we raise anywhere from 20,000-45,000 $$ that is used by the school and community for different needs. I was one of the founding members and am on the board of directors for the foundation, where I serve as Events Coordinator.

Last night I posted a comment about when we hear whether or not we got the scholarship and I read from a toyota website that it was in mid April, but today I read that in the semi-finalist packet it stated that finalists would be notified in may... So I am not sure which one to believe.. After all, they did give us a zillion different addresses to send our semi-finalist materials in..so lets be patient and cross the fingers for now.

WOW!...that sounds like a BIGGGG project. Very nice.

But about the finalists...they said mid-april...i think its way passed that...is this wait like killin anyone else? =)

I called them today and they said that decisions won't be mailed out until later this month and early May. Which doesn't make sense, because I have googled some winners for this year and the event weekend is the first week of May I believe. It was prolly an Im sorry you did not get it lie to make me feel better. O well lol.

JMW09- There have not been any winners announced-- I have seen old winners, but none from this year. They said they first will send it out in May. Don't freak out-- just be patient and focus on other things. Also, the banquet isn't until June.

June?! What if we can't attend? Are we required to attend in order to receive the scholarship money? Because I'll be out of the country for basically my whole summer.. and I don't know if I'd want to fly back and forth between countries in order to attend the banquet, and if toyota would be willing to pay the international airfare lol.
