apples and oranges?

How comparable are Wesleyan and Oberlin? I'm interested in transferring to Wes from Oberlin because of its far superior film department (Oberlin offers nothing in the manner of film production, my intended major). I realize that Wesleyan is more selective, but are they similar enough LACs that a high gpa from Oberlin would put me in the running for transfer admission? If it's too much of a reach, are there other LACs with renowned film programs?
p.s. I only have a 1350 SAT (800v, 550m -- cringe)

When my D transfered several years ago, her two top choices were Oberlin and Wesleyan, and she really picked by location (prefered to stay on the EAst Coast. Our opinion was that they seemed very similar. You'd need a good reason to transfer from one to another, and a better dept could be it. I don't think the math grade will kill you (Wes isn't that much more selective than Oberlin.) I think that it's extremely important that you get as high a GPA as possible at Oberlin to show you can excel at that level school.
