USC-how hard is it to be accepted as a transfer?

I hear it's super hard. I was rejected from USC but they wrote on the letter they are interested in having me transfer and I plan on setting up an appointment with them about it. If I get good grades, etc, would this help?

Does what school I attend make a difference? (Deciding between Cal Poly SLO, UC Irvine, and Penn State mainly. Also got into UC Davis, UCSD, Udub, Udenver, GMU, JMU, and SDSU) I think I read that UCI transfers well with USC? I would think that Cal Poly would be good, too.

And I guess in general, what does USC look for in a transfer? HS grades as well as college..

Just keep your college GPA as high as possible and get involved on campus. For now, choose the best available school. The better the school, the better chance you have of being admitted.
