Im personally far more interested in on site activism. But I definitely support the end Kony movement. Even if it is a tad misguided.

Is USC a need blind school for finan aid? On the app I put that I wouldn't need any need-based aid since my parents said they will pay for me, but I feel bad knowing USC is around 30k a year and with housing it's around 20k more. So I just added USC as one of the schools to my fafsa this month. Does it affect your admissions to apply for fafsa? I am not desperate for finan aid, but it would definitely be nice to get some aid considering the cost of the school and living expenses. Any idea on this? Thanks

@CheddarGoldfish I highly doubt applying for FAFSA would influence USC's decision in ANY way. That would be awful.

That's what I thought too! It is a private that was why I was wondering, I just heard people say they give preference to those who can pay everything...so you will have a higher chance to get in =/ Not sure if that is even true though as that doesn't sound too fair

@CheddarGoldfish: No way that's true. If that was the case, the school wouldn't be as diverse as it is. It would be filled with trust fund babies.

But in short, yes, SC is need blind.

No worries! She is a Public Relations major and she transferred as a sophomore. Not sure about her GPA, but it had to have been pretty high [3.8-4.0] cause she transferred from another four year [which is actually more difficult]. She officially got her mail-in acceptance package on March 18th last year.

@SWNDEE

Wait transferring from a 4 year is more difficult?? Do you know why that is? I'm transferring from University of Michigan and I had a 3.8 for my first semester. Do I have a decent shot?

I'm unable to log on, as well. March 18 is real soon. That would be cool to hear back pretty early, hopefully sometime this month.

Edit: looking back at last year's transfer decisions, it seems like some decisions were released near the end of March (like march 23rd), and a wave of them during April-May.

hey guys! i decided to finally join the conversation haha
i’m also unable to login today, but hopefully that’s a good sign that they’re updating!

@Ngarcia3 my transcripts were sent out in january but usc connect still says they didn’t receive them, when i called though they told me my file was complete. so sounds like i’m in the same paranoid boat as you haha!

@DJpsu2015 i’m from PA too!

@bandit1990 i’m also an OT major! are we the only ones on here? haha
