I've sent in the following things:
-common app
-supplement
-fee waiver request (anyone know about that?)
-HS transcript
-college transcript
-filling out Fafsa this week
Do I need to use any of the school forms? Anything I'm missing? (Besides options LOR)

^ you don't need to fill out any school forms.
I just faxed my high school to request them to mail my transcript. Everything is officially sent. Now I wait...i'm kind of worried maybe my transcripts might never reach USC...ok, calm down. lol.

Has anyone sent in the CSS Profile yet? I'm still waiting for my parent's income estimates before I do...it is a VERY agonizing wait!

Hi I had a quick question-- are college transcripts due by Feb 1st? See for one of my classes I got a grade change from a B to an A and my teacher said it would take like a week to process so I dont want to send my transcript in until I have the A on my transcript. And info/ advice someone could give me... I am really concerned. Thanks!

@comp100: I would say to send what you have, and then when you get the grade, send an updated transcript. I don't think adcom's are going to even evaluate the transfer applications for a while, which would give enough time for any updates. A good amount of seniors in high school still have their applications being evaluated, I doubt they'll get to the transfers for at least a month. I wouldn't worry about that yet, just send updates as you receive them, I'd say.

If we already applied to USC before (but didn't get in) we don't have to send AP and SAT scores again, right? And also, I saw last year's transfer stats and it seemed like out of state transfers mostly got accepted as spring grade request (can someone tell me what that is?) and in-staters mostly got in..I'm at the University of Michigan right now. Do I have less chances of getting in? And also does the common app short essay have to be about an extracurricular activity like a club or organization? Or can it be something we leisurely do? For example, I wrote mine about tennis (in fact I recycled the exact same response as last year's common app short essay)

@ danielise: What is that fee waiver request? They dont honor a fee waiver asap like the UC app? Quote:
How to Register
PROFILE applications are customized for each student, based on information you supply during registration. Customization allows the PROFILE to respond to the unique needs of each applicant and provides a streamlined application process, by asking only the questions that pertain to you, your family and your financial situation. Register at PROFILE Online, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Registration requires a College Board online account.
Go to PROFILE Online.
Create a College Board online account.
When to Register
You should register for PROFILE as soon as you're sure about where you are applying for aid. This should be — at the minimum — at least two weeks before the earliest college or scholarship program priority filing date you need to meet. The priority filing date is the date by which the college or program tells you that you must have submitted a completed PROFILE Application.
| Why does it say 24 hours a day 7 days a week and then on the when part say 2 weeks before deadline?
W2s just came in yesterday for my parents and I was filling it out and I saw that.

Hey everyone.
I am currently a freshman at UCSB. I am looking to transfer to USC after this year. I will have take 45 quarter units (30 semester units) by the end of the year. I am on the trojan transfer plan and am applying as a business major. My first quarter grades were a 3.66. What do you think my chances of getting in are?

Hey Everyone,
I'm trying to transfer for UC Irvine and I'm only a freshmen. Can anybody tell me my chances of getting into Marshall?
- ~ 3.91 GPA (18 semester units & 16 quarter units)
- 71 quarter units (fall&winter, APs included, & converted semester units ^)
- I'll have 87 quarter units and another 6 semester units after spring
- ECs from high school only (FBLA (awards & leadership positions),
Business Academy, community service, etc.)
- Finished all but one GE, but will complete it during spring
- Will complete writing requirement during spring
- Trojan Transfer Plan
- Legacy
* The semester units are from classes taken at a CC.

So I just checked my USConnect page, and it appears that they haven't gotten either of my transcripts. I sent in my high school transcript only a few days ago, so I'm not too worried about that, but I sent in my college transcript electronically a while ago and already received confirmation (from my current university) that it was sent. I assumed that since it was electronic that USC would get my transcript instantly, but it appears not. Should I be worried that they still haven't received my transcript?

^ The exact same thing happened to me, albeit, different schools. Anyone have any input on the matter?

If you have at least 30 credits by the time YOU WILL BE (if accepted) ENROLLED AT USC, then you can apply as a transfer without having them weigh your chances on your high school stats. I'm not too sure about SCA for Production, but I was contemplating on applying to either the Critical Studies in SCA or Communication in Annenberg. I ultimately chose Annenberg because I felt that program suited me better. You can definitely apply to a different major and get accepted. It really just depends on your major, so you have to look at the requirements for each. I know for Annenberg, you can apply with 30 credits, but the supplements will vary for each major. For the Dornsife Art History program (my second choice), you don't even need additional supplements.
If Production is your main goal, but you don't meet a certain expectation, look into the other SCA majors if you think you can qualify, or look into the other schools and see if any of it interests. Once you're in, you can attempt to transfer into the SCA.
| By the end of Spring 2013 I'll have 36 credits which is enough for me to transfer and have my college grades be the primary basis for admission. I plan to transfer in Fall 2013 for Production which requires 48 credits. I won't have enough credits to satisfy SCA's Production requirements. What are my options if I submit an application in Spring 2013? Quote:
teddygrams: @glamiex: SCA Production is the only major I believe in SCA that requires over 30 for transfers. Since USC doesn't have an open Spring semester transfer (unless you're accepted after applying for fall semester and they sometimes push you over to spring for different reasons) and it's nearly impossible to acquire 48+ credits within your first year at college without counting APs/credits earned before college, Production is pretty much only able to be transferred into by junior transfers.
But like DJpsu2015 said, you can transfer to another major at USC or within SCA and then, if accepted, attempt an internal transfer (although this is understood to be potentially more difficult than an external) to Production after you've done some time under that major.
| How does one do an internal transfer? Wouldn't that just be more money spent on classes that aren't connected to your major?

On my USConnect, when I click my application it says that my application can't be processed at this time. Why is that? Am I the only person that is getting this screen? I sent in my commonapp and my transcripts...
