Anyone got into Sociology with a 3.5 or lower? Just wondering

Does USC put heavy weight on W (withdraws) courses?
Is it important enough to be the deciding factor between acceptance and rejection??

Also, does anyone know what happens if I already submitted the common application to USC with current semester courses, but if I end up dropping one course and get a W on it instead?
