Well I'm also applying to Vandy, and their decisions could come as late as July.
If i apply priority to Emory (which isn't in my top 5 choice) do I have to accept within 2 weeks of the decision (if I get accepted)?

Yeah. I would hold up on Emory if I were you. Is Vandy your first choice? If it is, I would apply to everywhere with rolling admissions at their latest date. So Emory, May 1 and then whoever else you are applying to.
That way, if your Vandy acceptance comes in around July, which I doubt it will, they won't be so far spaced and save you the hassle of guessing.
OR you can apply to Emory on priority, then once you get that acceptance, ask Vandy if they can expedite your acceptance/rejection...don't know if they do that though.

It is so confusing. Vandy acceptances can come as late as August they said lol.
We have to accept within two weeks right for Emory?
I'm applying to other schools but they have decisions early - Vandy and Northwestern might come later than Emory though.
How can I do this?

The applications of all the other schools I'm applying to are due by March 15th, and I'm supposed to receive decisions around mid-May (like the majority of the people on this board).
I might be able to finish Emory's supplement and financial aid forms by then (and therefore receive a May decision), but honestly speaking, I'd rather not.
Is it possible to hold off on committing to a school until June 15th, or does this not usually fly with schools that have earlier deadlines? Should I just call each individual college and find out?

I'm in the same situation justina11.
Emory isn't my first choice, and it's acceptance period is 2 weeks.

Hi guys I submitted my app few days ago. I'm a little confused on the rolling admissions. So Emory could make a decision within few weeks or just send a decision on May 1st?
I submitted two professors recs |

Hey we only have 2 weeks to decide right, if accepted?
If we pay the deposit, does that mean we have to go?

Never dealt with transfer admission, but I remember people paying the deposit then going to another institution when they applied as a freshman. Check the website or ask someone who is more familiar with the process |

Does anyone know if just the application needs to be submitted (and paid) by the priority deadline?
Not including the transcripts, scores, recs, etc.

The Common Application explicitly states that Emory's deadline is May 5th (for some reason it makes no mention of the March 15th priority deadline), so this is probably the last day they will accept applications from transfer students.

I'm thinking about applying, but I want to know if it would be worth the trouble. Freshman year I went to Drexel for a computer science major, and ended up with a 2.0 GPA (I hated my major/classes and I partied a bit too much.) Anyways, this year I've transferred to a community college near home. Last semester my GPA was 3.6, and I expect to do at least as well this semester. I'm taking mostly humanities and social science classes this year. My high school scores were alright. I had a 3.7 GPA, 5 AP classes (scores: 5, 4, 4, 3, 2), 1800 SATs, and 30 ACTs. I'd be applying to Emory for a Neuroscience major if that makes any difference. Realistically what are my chances of getting in?
