Is it too late to apply for financial aid?

I didn't apply because i didn't think my family would qualify... but now i just want to apply anyways. (I'm going to be attending USC in the fall). So is it too late to apply for financial aid?

Pick up the phone.

Call the financial aid office.

Ask.

Meanwhile, find the Net Price Calculator at the USC website. Run your family numbers through it and take a look at the results. You might need to defer enrollment for a year so that USC has a chance to coordinate the aid package you qualify for.

I don't really want to defer ny enrollment so I guess ill just wait. Do students reapply for financial aid every year?

A few schools will not let you apply for FA in subsequent years if you do not do so your first year attending (eg. Brown is this way with transfers), but at most schools you apply every year. Check the college website or give them a call.

You should call this year and see if there's still time of apply, the worse thing they can say is that it's too late. But if they will still let you apply, you might save money.
