Need some advice -----transfer student

I am a community college student that plans on majoring in Psychology when I transfer in the fall of 2013. I really want to go to a school in a large city, with my first choice being New York and 2nd being DC. I have a about a 3.3/3.4 GPA but I have a ton of extra curricular activities that involve Psychology. I was an officer in the school's club and part of a research team that allowed me to travel to San Francisco to present research at Western Psychological Association, and the research was even recognized by the American Psychological Association. This year I will be president of the Psychology club, be part of another research team and travel to Reno to present at the WPA conference, an am writing the bylaws and bring Psi Beta to the college so I will also be a member of that (a 2 year psychology honors society). Although my GPA is not super high, should everything I have extra curricular give me a chance at somewhere like American University, Georgetown, or NYU? and if not would going to a school like Pace University or Wagner college and striving there give me a chance at grad school at a place like NYU? any advice is welcomed! and any suggestions of any other schools in other places that are good and I would have a chance of getting into are also welcomed, becuase although I love NY I am willing to go to the best school I can get into no matter where it is.
