I am trying to transfer to USC (i know, it's competitive!).
I have over well over 30 units. Do I have to report my SAT's? I've searched the USC website and they just say if you have over a certain amount they will "primarily" focus on college grades.
I have good grades, average SAT's, I really don't want to report them if i don't have to.
Transfer after two years at a community college. You're not going to get in with average SAT's as a sophomore transfer because you will be evaluated as if you were a freshman applicant. You will have to report your SAT scores if you do not apply as a junior applicant.
Well I'm technically a semester ahead due to AP's, so I have somewhere around 68 units? Still report them, and it's not a community college, it's a university. thank you for your response.
Let me explain a little more: At my current university i will end the the 2012-2013 school year as junior (a junior as defined by my current university). BUT I am applying to a program that basically resets me as a freshmen. All i know, is if i report those scores, I'm not going anywhere hahaha
For transfer students, we do not require the SAT at all. Since you will have about half of your units still in progress by the transfer application deadline, we will still need to look at your high school transcript. However, we may also ask for your spring grades, so do work on hard on those even after you have submitted your application.
Wait: Do you know how much USC costs???? Can you afford this school? My sister went to USC on a full ride but her grades and test scores were phenomenal and that was about 15 years ago. One of the girls on my daughter's tennis team got into USC with solid A's, 5's on her AP tests and outstanding SAT's. She didn't get a penny. My best friend's daughter is currently attending USC, similar grades and multiple EC's, not one penny, so my friend is paying the full cost of attendance. Her daughter said not too many kids had received FA from the school. Have you filed a FAFSA?
Also- she wasn't considered a "junior applicant" and she still did not need to report them..I think it has more to do with how many credits you have (that are transferable)
