Does Columbia prefer sophomore transfers?

Hi, I am a freshman and was thinking about applying for transfer in selective schools. I read somewhere that Columbia prefers sophomores than juniors for transfers. Is it true?

While this is a pure guess, I think it makes sense due to Columbia's Core Curriculum which basically gets little to no transfer credit most of the time. But then I doubt the chances of acceptance are very different between the two year levels. They are both extra competitive.
