| Senioritis...
At the end of my senior year, I didn't think of transferring--and thus, slacked off.
I didn't slack off majorly, but while I was a straight-A student for the majority of my high school career (with 1-2 A-'s here and there), I just wanted to enjoy my last year at high school without too much stress and got 2 B+'s second semester senior year. (I also got a C+ in AP Physics first semester, but I legitimately tried in that class.) Now, however, I may be looking into transferring, so how will those 2 B+'s during second semester senior year and the C+ during first semester impact me? Will college adcoms be relatively understanding with the second semester grades, as compared to slacking off in previous semesters?
And if it matters, I am an Asian American enrolled in the honors program of a private top 50 (U.S. N&W) university in the Northeast (of which less than 20 are accepted) and am thinking about pre-med. Yeah, the AP Physics grade is terrible, but my first semester grades so far are good (~4.0), and college grades seem to factor into transfer admissions more, according to my research.
The preliminary list of places I'm thinking of applying to are (they will definitely be narrowed down later):
Pitzer
Pomona
University of Southern California (USC)
UCLA
University of Pennsylvania
Swarthmore
Haverford
Vanderbilt
Thank you!
