Transferring out of state! Need advice!

So hello there. I'm currently attending community college here in California and I'm looking and working towards transferring to Missouri State University in Springfield. They've got an amazing program for Criminology, one of the two majors I wish to persue.(the other being theatre). Now te problem is: I'm doing this all by myself right now. I don't know how I'm going to tell my parents about my choice. I reeeeeeally could use some advice haha.

Who is paying? If you are covering the costs, then there is no problem. If you expect your parents to pay, then you need to have them on board. So don't delay--just start having some talks about your career goals and find out their willingness and or ability to help you pay for an OOS school. There is no magic trick here.

Once you start talking to your parents you may have more specific questions for us here--but for now, this is a blank slate.
