I have 6 w's in Community College. Am I screwed?

I have 6 w's in community college im on my 4th year after taking a break last semester because I had to think about what i was doing.

I got 3 w's alone on the same class (intermediate algebra). I still have not passed it. I plan to take it in the winter. I feel so dumb how I let this happen. Basically last year I gave up and dropped like two of my classes and i said i was done, but after much thinking I decided to comeback.

Are these 6 w's really bad for me? I have never gotten an F but my GPA is like 2.6. I plan on raising it because I am now in a better mindset. I got like 2 more semester to go before i can transfer. I plan into going into accounting or something business related.

How bad are these 6 w's and especially the 3 which i got in math class

Depends on where you want to transfer. At the CSU system in CA, it hardly matters as long as your GPA is high enough...and if you do a local transfer, even a 2.6 GPA is often good enough for transfer. I know someone who had failed or W'd the English 1A three times before passing. No big deal, that student transferred successfully to a CSU.

Generally speaking, colleges that regularly take transfer students with a 2.6 GPA are not really all that freaked out by a few Fs or Ws... the 2.6 indicates about a C+/B- grade average in the first place. I suggest looking for transfer colleges where a 2.6 is "good enough" for transfer and then your Ws probably won't matter much at all. It is not like you can go undo those Ws at this point anyhow.

Passing math is probably important though - there are colleges that require being done with the math sequence before transfer. However, I have heard of some that don't care. Really depends on the college and if they are lax on that or not.
