Transfer Decision Dilemma

I realize this is probably a typical post from a Freshmen in his/her first Semester, but I have been really going through a tough time here.

So I currently go to West Virginia University and A journalism major. I love my classes, my professors and just hit the midterm with a 3.85 GPA. However, I just don't feel comfortable here. Many of the kids here are immature, do drugs or whatever. My roommate and I get along and can tolerate each other but he has very different motives then I do (drugs, lazy, and always has to be around girls). Now, I do drink and love to party but it seems that every kid here does drugs which isn't my thing. I have tried to go outside my comfort zone to try and meet people but many of them are just not my type.

At first, I loved this school. I was excited for more opportunities at a big school and I loved the sporting events. Being a huge sports fanatic, it was awesome. But all of those feelings disappeared about 4 weeks in. I have given it some time and it still hasn't been any better. Right now, I am thinking about transferring to Bloomsburg University for Fall 2013, but I need some help.

Bloomsburg is a smaller school and about 2 hours away from home for me, where as West Virginia is about 5 hours away from home. Homesick isn't really a big thing for me, I just feel uncomfortable here. Bloomsburg was my second choice before I chose West Virginia. I have been there for 2 weekends during this school year and had more fun there then I have here at WVU just because I was more comfortable.

Pros of WVU: Bigger School/More marketability,More Majors/Opportunities, Athletic events,
Pros of Bloomsburg: Closer to home, more comfortable, smaller classes, alot cheeper cost

Now, I don't have a girlfriend at Bloomsburg so that is not a factor at all and I know this is probably a common post but I need help pretty badly. I probably won't make a desicion for atleast another month or 2 because I want to give it time but I just want some input. Sorry for the rant!

Thanks!

For journalism, internships will be crucial. WVU should have alumni in news organizations in the state and maybe the region (north to Pittsburgh, west into Ohio). What does Bloomsburg offer?

My brother spent a year at WVU and fled, so I understand. Just be sure you'll be fleeing toward the kinds of opportunities you need, now and long-term.
