A 3.8 is really good, even by CC standards.

Just out of curiosity - how much do you think our standardized test scores will be weighed? I have yet to ask my admissions counselor but I was just wanting everyone's opinions.

Hopefully not much. I would think our college grades would negate that. Esp. my college grades since my SAT scores are horrendous.

I'm also considering applying for transfer to Vandy, econ. close to 4.0 HS u/wGPA, 2050 ACT, hopefully around a 3.8 1st semester college GPA. Volunteer work, campus job. Have any of you visited?

i think as usual if two applicants are about the same and theres only a spot left, the one with the higher standardized test score would get the place. in other words, it can only help but it probably won't hurt too much

I'm in denial that my classes end in a couple weeks and that my essay has made no progress...and then I still have to get all of my application materials in :O

My essay(s) need work. Something has to make up for my HS GPA/test scores, lack of ECs. LOL

This past two weeks have been tough; I got 3 Cs on tests... I've been getting As on all my tests, but I'm not quite sure what is the cause. The material is not any harder (I must admit, I have trouble visualizing quantum mechanics) perhaps I've been slacking off and not studying enough.

It's ok. That happens to all of us at some point during the semester.
