somebody please help me...what happens with a Grade in a non-transferable course

guys please help me, I really want to transfer and this could be the make or breaking point to my transfer. I got a C+ in a class that does not transfer over to the school I would like to transfer to. Now obviously the C+ killed my GPA. With the c+ I have a 3.4 and without I have a 3.6 now when I transfer will they look at my 3.4 OR MY 3.6???????? please help!!

It depends on the school. Many schools do not consider the GPA for transfer courses at all. Those that do usually only count the courses that transfer, so you would have a 3.6.

i would suggest going to your admissions counselor explaining your situation and ask if you can request your teacher to change that C+ to a P (for Pass) so it doesn't affect your overall GPA. Tell them that this class doesn't transfer over and it is drastically affecting my GPA. Even though the P/NP date has passed most schools will allow this because with a C+ you did pas the course. Hope this helps and good luck!
