when do SATs not count that much anymore?

my SATs aren't great at all but I want to eventually transfer out of Syracuse University. if I earn really good grades (3.7 +) and become active enough, at what point do my high school SAT scores count less? after the first year? after the second year?

probably after 2nd year, but i think if you want to transfer to really good schools, even after 2nd year, you'll probably need at least 1300+

It varies by school. Even some competitive schools make SATs optional for transfers, especially if you are transferring as a junior. But many do ask for them. More ask for them for Soph transfers than for Junior transfers.
