| berkeley's FinalDistance
my friend showed me this nifty class/schedule generator. for the people who havent seen it, here's the link. http://finaldistance.berkeley.edu/
someone was talking about going up (well "up" for me cuz i'm in LA) a week earlier to berkeley for welcome week? i am definitely gonna be there. moving and adjusting can be quite draining as it is, so i figure i'll give myself that week to get over home sickness, any pre-upper division anxiety, and get some rest because semesters are quite long.
i still dont have a place to live... =\
Any political science majors wanna be my friend?

I'll be your friend, cja1130! haha, I agree with you about going to Cal a week early. I particularly wanna get any sense of homesickness out of my system before school actually starts. And from what I know their are crazy parties going down during welcome week as people have no real obligations and whatnot yet. =)

Haha, most definitely Gabe. Which CalSo will you be attending? Also, random question but are you the same Gabe as the one with the other username?

finaldistance is a great tool. The creator was awarded a scholarship from Berkeley for building something "simple and of great use to the students."

Cardinal, I'm sure this has been asked, but are you a Stanford fan?
Have any people from CollegeConfidential met personally yet? I'm not even a regular, so I'm kinda lost. it's like the new myspace jk - but with more substance

haha, Cja1130. Yeah I originally wanted to go to Stanford--it was my super dream school. But now since I'm going to Berkeley I have come to detest them elitists ahaha...nah jk...I still have mad respect for all the Stanford people, I know they are as bright as can be...
Oh I haven't met anyone from CC I haven't met before but I most definitely have gotten several friends to join the CC realm...I'm a walking CC advertisment heh. =)

Agreed. We owe it to ourselves. Many of us have history together--dating as far back as the "UC Decision Dates" thread...ahah.

| I told two friends about CollegeConfidential, one who just finished community college with me and is going to Haas and another prospective transfer for 2007. You guys scared the bujeesus out of them!! She read around and saw your stats, how strong your ECs were (not you but the people posting at the time), and what was being talked about during March and April and she basically compared herself to the people on the forum and it made her more worried. She already had the added pressure because she only applied to two schools... but seeing the CC kids panic made her feel crappier.
The prospective Haas transfer just got scared away. I dont think she'll be returning.... ever.
talk about no mercy
