Taking Chemistry?

Is 1 yr of Chem a requirement for graduation at most Universities under a Liberal Arts/Econ/Business major?

I'm generally refering to the top 20/30 schools in the nation.

I'm thinking of taking Chem at my university before I transfer, but I don't need it to graduate if I stay, and I don't know how many other universities need it. I only know that NYU needs it for MAP reqs, but I don't know of any else.

I'd really appreciate some responses from people who have looked into this stuff before, thanks.

I don't think so... for the UCs at least. UCs requires students to fulfill a physical science requirement, which can be fulfield by taking anything from astronomy to anthropology.
