Big diff. between A and A-????

Is there a big difference between an A and an A- when transferring? I got an A- so I wound up with a 3.933 gpa after my first semester at Univ. of Delaware honors program and want to transfer up to a better school. Thoughts anybody?

The difference between A and A- is exactly 0.3 in GPA. If you couldn't figure that out maybe you're better off staying in UMD.

Haha... Ya, you can calculate the exact difference that a "-" makes in your GPA...

This post is classic CC I really don't think it'll make a huge difference, I'm sure the adcom will be able to tell you're a great student, even with that egregious blemish on yout transcript.

mind if I ask how many credits you took?

If an A- only brought you down like .063~ GPA...

hmmmm...only a 3.933? Your prospects of transferring to a better school are not good. You might be able to get into UNLV….possibly.
