This year Stanford accepted only 20/1400 applicants- less than 2%. In past years it has been around 5%.

Does anyone know if previously attending the university increases chances of transfer admission?

you mean re-enrollment? i don't understand...
unless you're talking about a pre-college high school summer program or something, i'm sure it would help. it helps more if you apply early though. i know that this method worked well with columbia applicants.

Yeah, re-enrollment. I attended NYU freshmen and sophomore year, transferred out and want to go back for senior year. My GPA isn't so great but I'm sure having been there before makes a difference, right??

yeah i guess. though im pretty sure it's a separate application you need to fill out (specifically for re-enrollment). its not the same process as transfer admission.

Wow 82% for Tulane? Must be because of the damage to New Orleans scaring people away.

Sorry for the late response, but the admissions office says it would be a transfer application since I enrolled in another university. I would still be competing with the other applicants from other schools. Anyone have some insight on this? Also, is it common that competition will be higher for the 1st semester vs. 2nd semester? Is GPA from both schools weighed equally?
