| sportg15... not long you should receive the "acted on" application status. And then a few days later the mail. Cool |

| Got a Spring Grades Request today...
We have requested your spring term grades. We mailed you specific instructions on how to submit your grades for expedited processing. We hope to receive the grades before June 30. We expect you will be notified of our final decision by mid-July.
Status last updated: 5/14/2008 1:42:55 PM
My last status update was the "We are reviewing your application...June 1st..." one on either the 23rd or 24th of April..i posted it once so mapletree or woman of troy probably would know better haha
As I started to see my Spring grades roll-in I became a little nervous about getting an SGR. So far, my grades for Spring semester are:
Philosophy 225: Contemporary Philosophy- A
Chemistry 111: General Chemistry I- A
English 201: Writing in the Disciplines- B**
Math 104: Finite Mathematics- B-*
Economics 106: Microeconomics- Grade will be put in tom. or Fri...should be an A
** This grade was just ridiculous...I'm disputing it, especially after the SGR
* This grade is not ridiculous, I actually hate math that much. My average was a 61 (probably about class average) the whole semester and I got a 100 on the final exam which covered the whole semester...so lazy...
I'm a Freshman. Right now my GPA is a 3.47. After I get my econ grade, it should be a 3.57 for the semester. It could break 3.6 if I win this grade dispute, but we'll see. So, basically I went from a 3.91 first semester to a
~3.6. I'm pretty worried. |

| My First-Choice Major was Economics and my Second-Choice Major was Classics.
I want to change my major(s) before they make the final decision. I genuinely want to change my First-choice major to Philosophy, and I think this might work out, as not too many people are Philosophy majors. That would mean I would be a First-Choice Philosophy and Second-Choice Classics...those are two pretty rare majors, and I got an A in PHI 225 (my only PHI class though so far, if that helps at all). However, I will probably ending up getting an A in economics this semester, so that means I would have As in my first two economics coourses (Macro and Micro). However, my Math grade might/probably would also be considered for this major so, in that case, I would have an A, A, and B- in major-related coursework (3.57), although it might not be considered as much as the econ classes. I don't know...somebody help...
Oh, and my GPA for the year should be a 3.7-3.75...most likely a 3.72..but with a little bit of a downward trend... |
