Entering as: Junior
High School: 94/100
College GPA: 4.26/4.3
SAT I Scores: 1810
ACT score: 33
SAT II Scores: n/a- never took them
Major Applied: Communications, EPE, economics
EC's: Winner of provencial debate tournaments, teaching english to immigrants, opening of a local summer camp to fight childhood obesity

Applied to: Stanford, Yale, Columbia
Rejected: Stanford
Pending: Yale (first choice- Who are we kidding?), Columbia (once more with feeling...)
Decision: Eating ice cream until I can't feel my head

- That Stanford rejection completely floored me. I mean you know the odds are slim as hell but you still hold a bit of hope that somehow you'll be that 0.04 odd. Now it's the sinking certainty of 3/3 rejections. I'm just waiting for the other two. Damn it.

aworldapart, notice all the pendings posted...
Gonna have to agree with Defrasne here. All the "pendings" make this thread ridiculous. Is it that hard to just wait to post until all your decisions have come?

The point of this thread is to have a comprehensive and final tally of applicants' results, not to post every time you hear from each school.

Caillebotte, I created this thread early May hoping that those who have already received their decisions (especially those who are unlikely to come back to this site after all the waiting frenzy is over) would share with us their stats. I do not find this thread ridiculous, although I do agree with you that it would be to the benefit of many should people wait for all of their decisions before posting, instead of putting pending decisions.

I didn't mean the thread in general is ridiculous; in fact, I think it's a good idea. It just doesn't make sense to post on here with decisions pending.

theres still time to apply for other colleges, so this thread (and its pendings) can as a barometer for how selective schools are for summer/fall '08...
