Looking at last year's thread, on 7/21/08 some people were getting accepted. Most who didn't hear until after that were rejected. If that stays true this year, we may still have a while to wait...

My D was one who got an acceptance letter as a 2nd semeseter sophomre (spring admit) last year in late July. She's happy she went there & found the transition in January went very well. They accepted most of her credits as well & saved us some big $$.

Good to hear HImom! I wonder if most of those accepted in late July were Spring admits?

^^^ I like hearing this . Wheres marco? hes typically here at this time

so i just called the admissions office and i believe they wait until they receive EVERYONEs spring grades (which makes sense but is frustrating lol) so I probably shouldnt bother checking this week because I know there wont be an update. But what I don't understand is that there have been some people who were SGRs as clearly shown on this forum but got accepted already!

hey guys! just got home like 30 minutes ago actually, lol. nothing today..

i don't think that they wait until they get everyone's grades because some people on here have been accepted since 6/02 to now. not many though..but since the deadline is tomorrow, maybe the committee will get going on apps a little more quickly? i really want to know, well, only if it's an acceptance, before the 4th because i have a family party on the 5th and i want to brag to everyone, haha

oh, sorry collegehopeful, just reread your last sentence, lol. yeah, idk how they decide to who's apps they look at and stuff.

does anyone know if the app status changes to "acted on" on this one? https://camel2.usc.edu/ESD/IOL/pages...ceListing.aspx

it's the only one i can rely on because my other app page is still on the status when i first submitted it in january -_-

Alrite guys
I got accepted to Marshall, here's some hope for people with low grades

I had a 3.44 when I applied, I got accepted with a contingency of 3.3 in spring, i only got a 3.16 in spring. After calling them, they reviewed my application and said their offer still stands.

I had the usual bunch of extra-currics, i did work on a shop and i had a recommendation from the captain along with recs from college and old high school instructors.

i think that after today, those who are accepted will start hearing very soon. they won't have to wait for anyone else and they can just focus on all the remaining apps. i just want to know before friday! the sooner the better

After two weeks I just now got the update saying they've received my spring grades. I don't whether to be excited that they've finally updated my status or worried that it took two weeks lol.

it took 2 weeks for my grades too. i called like everyday and they kept saying that it takes up to 2 weeks to receive them so we shouldn't worry. but it's kinda hard not to worry about this kind of thing, lol. but the two week wait is nothing to worry about.

Really? It took two days for me, but I faxed them. It could be though because it was right up against the 6/30 deadline?

lol yeah, it was ridiculous and completely freaked me out! i ended up faxing them too, but i think the officials i mailed got there the same day i faxed my unofficials, lol.

i just tried logging into the deposit page and the cursor made the little loading symbol and it like took a second and i started to get excited, but then the username/password thing came up haha. i don't think that that is the first time that i've gotten excited for that either. i'm so lame
