it really bugs that i cannot log into the website. and since i didnt apply for fa i cant check there either grrr.. yes marty/glor/marco tomorrow ill be our day

oh yeah, sorry for not mentioning you too marty, lol. yeah, behold said his status changed the next day and if i remember correctly so did andWILLsays and peppa's too. so i'm hoping and praying for good news!! we are bound to know this week or the week after!!! crazy!!

lol yes i have marty. i tried once around 2pm, but i decided i won't check until it changes to "acted on" or else i'll be psyching myself out each time i check lol.

justchill, i had sent in my spring grades mid-may too and had that status until today when it changed to "sent to committee for review". so maybe tomorrow it will change for you! if not, at least you can count on something by the end of next week!

lol, it was kinda funny..
i had just gotten home from grabbing subway and i literally was about to take a bite when i checked the site and i totally dropped my sandwich and was like OMG!, lol.
okay, i exaggerate, i set my sandwich down, but i did say OMG!
but the best/worst is still to come, so i'm sure that if i am holding anything when i check the deposit page after i get the "acted on" status, it will be tossed across the room

i hope you all get an update tomorrow! but i really think the reason my app started getting looked at was because i emailed my counselor who actually emailed me back, quickly at that! so, if i were you, i would give it a shot. all i did was ask why i had received a SGR since the site says that each applicant receives it for different reasons.

hmm i wonder what they saw in me as i have a relatively low GPA for my major and not many ECs :P
i did complete the last pre-req in my spring quarter though and that's the only reason i could think of for the SGR

that could be the only reason, so that's a good sign. that was the same for me because i just finished my english II course. did you have less than 30 credits when you applied? other than that, i can't think of any other reason too. but i would definitely say that a SGR is a positive thing.

nah i have 2 yrs of college under my belt (with summer courses); a lot more than 30
im just glad i didnt get outright rejected

oh okay, hmm you should email your counselor and see what they are looking for! i feel the same way about not being straight up rejected. at least we can say we made it this far, haha.

uhh...my financial aid was updated today, but the status still says "being reviewed"

oh, maybe they do. i've always thought that they opened at 9, but i could be wrong. but i know it was updated today because it says it was last updated on 07/07/2009.
i've been searching back on this thread to see if it updating the day after review means anything, but i didn't find anything.
