soph or junior transfer??

i go to cc now (all the units described are quater units)
I am trying to transfer to USC .
I received 12 units from AP credits
18 units from college classes I took druing high school years

I read somewhere that I should not count AP and classes took as high school students when I am transferring .

By nxt spring , I will have 99 units and I believe that is junior standing and I should apply as junior transfer .
Bt without those units I mentioned that should not be count, I will have 63 units . which is soph standing . and I should apply as soph transfer ....

anyone familiar with this kind of situation???
should I apply as soph ??? or junior???

usually the school evaluates your credits and past courses and decides how many credits that translates to in their school. in other words, they choose your junior or sophomore standing.
not sure how it is a at usc, though.
