I know some UCs have a strict policy regarding transfer.. but what about private universities?

I currently have about 90 credits... but when I apply for next fall, I'll have about 110 semester credits.

About half of those credits are pretty pointless since I switched majors and does not relate to the major I'm planning on applying to, do they just take max of 64 credits and ignore the rest?

oh I'm also a 4 year university transfer.. not CC if that makes any difference
