Transferring to Cornell

Hi,
Im a freshman at FSU and want to transfer to Cornell in 1 or 2 years. I had a HS GPA of 3.8 and my ACT was a 26 and my SATs werent much better. I was hoping that with a good GPA here I could make up for that. I want to major in Bio Engineering, something they dont have here but really interests me.
What would I have to do to get in?
Should I apply this year or wait one more?
Lets say I'm not doing to well with my classes right now (Ive got a B and a C) what could I do except work harder to make up for it (like ec's). The reason I'm writing this is actually cause I just went from an 92 to a 83 cause I failed a quiz and I'm freakin out about my chances.

See the sticky thread: Transfer Admissions 101.

If you're going to spend time on something, it should be bringing up your grades, not trying to make up for them with ECs.

Yeah thats not what I need. I know the general stuff.
Here are some different questions if the others are difficult(?)
Whats cornells avg transfer gpa?
How much help knowing would knowing an alumni be, if at all?
What courses should I take to prepare for the Bio Engineering major? I'm guessing their probably the same basics for freshman but what could make me stand out to the engineering/science(i dont know what Bio Eng is considerd)

Check out the cornell transfer rates in the 2009 transfer rate thread. Engineering transfer rate is very low.
