Do they still combine the highest SAT scores?

Hi guys, I just want to ask you when you are coming from a community college, city colleges, or state schools, and you try to transfer to schools like NYU, Cornell, Michigan, Boston College, Hamilton College, Notre Dame, George Washington, Georgetown, etcs.. as they ask every transfer applicants to submit their SAT and SAT IIs, on the SAT I (not the IIs), do they still take the highest scores from each section, from taking the SAT twice in high school, and add them up together even as a transfer student?
