would it be easier to transfer undecided?

im currently considering transfering, but am sort of confused in this aspect of it. right now im a declared econ major but if i transfer would it just be easier to switch to undecided? then i wont have to worry about prerequisites and all that jazz. also is it easier to transfer undecided since there a certain amount of slots in each major, for instance i know transfering into econ at bucknell is specifically difficult, but am clueless in other institutions.

many thanks

I never really heard of any one transfering as undecided.. I think colleges expect you to know your major by the time you even apply.

It depends how far along you are. Most colleges would prefer you to declare a major, but you can apply as undecided if you need to. You'll have better luck if you're a sophomore transfer than a Junior transfer.

I know Cornell admits zero undeclared transfers, but don't know about other schools.

Perhaps the best thing to do is narrow it down to a few schools that you're really interested in and determine if they accept undeclared sophomore transfers.

it really depends on the school. hence all the questions asking what school you are considering.
