What school would be good for me?

Age: 19
State of Residency: NJ
Class Standing: Sophomore
Ethnicity: Hispanic (of Puerto Rican and Cuban Descent)
Major: English (Possibly Double Major/Double Concentration)
College GPA: 3.6 (Wagner College)

Fall 2008 courses (Wagner):
World Literature (EN111)- B+
Script Analysis (TH103)- A
Reflective Tutorial (RFT)- B+
Political Philosophy (PH109)- B

Spring 2009 courses (Wagner)
Honors Macroeconomics (EC101)- B+
Microeconomics (EC102)- A-
Financial Accouting (AC101) I- A
Intro to Psychology (PS101)- A
Computer Computency Fundamentals (CS106)- A-

Progress in Fall 2009 courses mid-semester (Community College):
Intro to Shakespeare (EN214)- A
College Math I (MA101)- A
General Chemistry I (CH111)- B+
Music Appreciation (MU106)- A
Western Civilization (HI101)- A

Courses for Spring 2010 (Community College)
Elementary French (FR101)
General Chemistry II (CH112)
Development of the American Novel (EN210)
World Literature II (EN216)
Topics in Literature (EN290)
Deviance and Social Control (SO210)

Schools I applied to:
Penn
Northwestern
Duke
Stanford
Cornell
Brown
U of Chicago
Cal-Berkeley

Recommendations should be good, my essays were pretty good (I'm a strong writer) and my ECs although most of them were from high school, I intend to send a letter to the schools I applied to letting them know that I joined more clubs since september (when I submitted most of the applications) and that I also got a job. Also planning to send them my schedule for next semester to keep them up to date

Will I get into any of these schools if I get a 4.0 next semester and if not what school(s) should I apply to as a safety school? I absolutely do not want to go to an in-state school (New Jersey) because I don't feel the amount of effort and time I put into my academic courseload warrants going to a school I could have gotten into out of high school.

HS GPA: 3.6
SAT scores: 1900 (CR- 600/ Math- 580/Writing- 720)
AP Scores- 3 (English Literature), 3 (Government & Politics)

Not sure that those stats are pertinent now. I feel that given the same HS material now I'd do alot better because I'm more disciplined (but I bet alot of people feel that way)

One thing that might when applying to schools of that calibre is that you've taken all 100 level courses except for one. Cal-Berkeley is very hard to get into as an out of state transfer, and as an English major Cornell's College of Arts and sciences only accepts 9% of students. U of Chicago only takes 50 transfer students a year, so its also very competitive.

Don't know about the others. I'd say you'll probably want to include some safety schools though as those schools are all among the very hardest to get in as a transfer student.

Boston College would be good for me, but I don't know that I'll get the kind of financial aid package that I need. I can cut room and board but will the FA cover the entire tuition costs?
