Transferring from a CC to a UC after only one year??

Is there any way you can transfer from a CC to a UC after only one year if you have enough AP credits to waive some of the classes?

actually yes to cal... One poster from this board said he achieved that. He got into Cal as some kind of bio major, but didn't get into UCLA. He from De Anza(sp?) CC.

He also had a 4.0 and did most or all his prereqs

I'm trying to get into UC Merced or UC Irvine.

How many units can I get waived if I passed 5 AP exams?

Depends on the classes. I'd say at least 15 semester units. Just a guess.

Here's the scores I got on my AP exams:
European History: 4
Stats: 4
World History: 4
US History: 4
Psychology: 4
Gov: 2
Econ: 3
Lit: 2
Calc AB: 1

How many semester units do you think I can waive with those scores? And would it be enough to eliminate a year of CC?

None of these are science classes, so proly 15 units...

Eliminate a year of CC? No, maybe a semester and some... But if u take more classes, u can proly get it done... C ur counselor for specifics.
