I took my first CC class in 2005. HAHAHA. But I took a few years of a break and came back in '08.

I've been in community college a total of 5 years but it has taken me 10 years to transfer after high school.

I am on the 10 year plan.

Non-consecutively it'll be 5.5 years by the time I'm done, but only 3.5 when you don't count the gaps and a detour.

looks like I will be staying for my third year. Is it important to be full time student because last quarter I dropped 2 classes and was left with 5 units winter quarter. Would this affect my chances applying next year?

Two years, not counting classes taken here and there over the summer in high school. I think that's the usual at my CC.

Honestly if I could go back I would've just tested out of high school early and just gone to a CC because it would've meant graduating earlier and not having to waste money on SAT crap and applying to colleges twice.

3 years... spent the first year working on my IGETC only to realize that I should've focused on the extensive bioengineering prereqs (especially since I needed 4 consecutive semesters of chem lol)

3 years... I was rejected from UCLA last year, got into UCSD and UCI. I decided to wait another year for a second shot at UCLA.

The good part of this is that by Fall '10 I completed Math, both English courses, 3 of 4 pre-reqs, and over 60 units. I will transfer with 70 sem units/105 qtr units and all pre-reqs completed.
