Hi guys. So after two years at community college, I'd be completely finished with IGETC and all the lower div prereqs for biology, excluding the ochem series. I'm probably going to transfer to UCSB. I'm planning on taking the first quarter of ochem next summer at UCI, since it is closer to home. If I do well in that class, I might as well take the second quarter of it too during the second summer session. Assuming I take the final ochem class during fall at UCSB, is it highly possible for me to graduate with a degree in 2 years? What classes can I take during my first fall quarter that will help me towards in graduating on time? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

If you look at the catalog, the UD requirements is about 50 units. If you haven't take physics, that is about 60 units. Spread that out over 6 quarters that is 10 units of science a quarter. Also remember you need 180 to graduate. So if you take 3 science classes and 1 GE a quarter each quarter that should be good enough.

This is very doable.

Wait, I am a little confused. When I transfer I'll be taking UD ochem instead of LD? And isn't the Ochem series a prereq for most of the UD classes? Thanks!

UD as in upper division bio classes.

I dunno if o-chem is a pre-req for them. You have to check yourself. I don't go to UCSB but finishing in 2 years should be doable.
