Last year had special circumstances though. Too many people TAGed to all the TAG-able UCs and had no intention of actually going there. Which is why all the "less competitive" TAG applicants were wait-listed. However, I believe UCI eventually admitted of of those who were wait-listed. That obviously won't happen this year because of the new TAG rules. There's no reason to worry if you have TAG with all of your requirements complete.
i'm speechless how you mentioned its """""""""""guarantee""""""""""' and excluded UCSD lol. and I agree with Laforlife; last year, one of my classmate didn't get accepted with TAG. Trust me, he had everything fulfilled. So hey, what's up with 100%?
IcedEspresso is exactly right. Only last year did some TAG applicants get wait-listed due to the old TAG rules. But that won't happen this year due to the new rules. It is 100% this year.
@chelzmcnamara How would you know rejections are given at way last? For me I still haven't heard back from any of the campus that I applied to.....so just hearing you say this makes me very uneasy
@ fredfrep: That isn't the case with all of the schools. I know the UCSC and UCSB have released acceptances along with rejections. But UCI has not sent out ANY rejections yet so it looks like UCI may be saving them for the end. I also think there are TAG people still waiting so I assume UCI will release at least one more batch of decisions before releasing rejections. But who knows, maybe the next batch will consist of rejections and acceptances.
