Hey guys,
i was accepted off the second batch in roosevelt college majoring electrical engineering. My first choice was sixth college and mechanical engineering but unfortunately i couldn't get it! i was wondering if you could change the college and the major before you begin. Also, on my application it's saying IGETC certification but i didn't complete my IGETC yet, and i made that clear in my application! will they reject me now after they have accepted me?

@Langrisser - It doesn't look like it does transfer or if it does it doesn't fulfill any requirements. The easiest way to check if it affects your transferable gpa though is to go to the tag app and enter that class in and see what it says. You dont have to actually turn the app in but I like to use it to see what transfers. University of California : Transfer Admission Guarantee

@Petogo - Yes you can change your major as long as its to a non impacted major. Mechanical engineering is impacted so you would need to look at the department website for specifics on switching to that one. And I believe you can trade schools with someone else. So if you find someone in Sixth that wants to be in whichever you were accepted to you guys can trade. You can also petition to get out of your college but that is a lot harder. More about that option is here -> The College System: FAQ
As far as IGETC goes, I believe everyone has that section. I'm not exactly sure because I did complete IGETC but if you made it clear on your app that you didnt then I wouldnt worry too much about it. I highly doubt it is an issue but if you want to be sure you can always call them on monday.

^No problem. I think as long as you notify them about the mistake and express you JUST noticed it then it is less likely to be an issue. I mean they could see all your classes when you applied, and if they didnt notice the mistake immediately then you must have completed at least a good portion of it. I dont think they would reject you just because you have to take a few more GE classes. Keep us posted with what happens and good luck! I think it'll be fine though Just dont forget to notify them first thing tomorrow morning!

The phone line to send AP scores is not available until July 1. Since UCSD needs all score by july 15, will my score make it to UCSD in time? If not, what other ways are there to send the score?

@pchiang08 I think it will be sent in time, cause we still have 2 weeks for it to get sent after July 1st. There is another way, but your AP scores have to be over 4 years old. You can print/fill out a form requesting 4+ year old AP scores and either fax or mail the form ($25 per college).

can someone clarify/answer this question for me

I went to University High School (in LA) for one semester (9th grade first semester), transferred to Van Nuys High School and graduated from there. I also went to Fairfax High School for two summer school sessions (2007 and 2009). Both Fairfax and University show up on my Van Nuys High School transcript (I have an unofficial copy) and it shows the classes + grades I got. Would it be okay if I just send only my Van Nuys High School transcript since it includes the 2 other schools?

Okay question. I put in a request for my igetc certification at my community college two weeks ago and it hasn't been sent out yet. I'm wondering if ucsd uses the date on the envelope or if the envelope with igetc has to be in their hands by July 15?
