@Jarmochin: When the first batch came out, I was really nervous because I wasn't getting accepted while people who didn't tag and tagged got in (most were social science majors) and I didn't get in (sociology major). I got accepted on Wednesday...so don't worry. If you TAG'd, you should not even worry...unless your GPA dropped significantly which I doubt it did. Don't worry. Soon your decision will come.

iDizzle: Who me, checking the website furiously?! Fortunately they posted my acceptance 8 days ago, they probably didn't want me blocking up the servers anymore with my constant logins. Hahaha.

@ Chelz: I would probably attend UCI if I got accepted. It's closer to home and I would like to ultimately work in Irvine or SF. I prefer more of an urban environment. SB is beautiful and all but its just not my cup of tea. But I also make a decision whether I want to go with communications(my first choice) which is the major that I got accepted to at SB or anthro at UCI(since Irvine doesn't have communications).

@ northbeach: LOL. Yeah, I've been checking Irvine and SD furiously. There going to ban me probably. haha

any bio majors get accepted yet?

I and 2 of my close friends are bio majors and we still say decision pending. I called admissions on Monday and they assured me t was completely random, not by department, not per TAG, just as they read and decide they update. I read elsewhere that the "best" we're chosen first. Is there any truth to this? I have a fairly high GPA and have been accepted to other Universities...though UCSB is my first choice the wait is killing me! Do decisions even post on the weekend?

@moon9kittie, I completed all the prereqs for the Econ major and was told there simply isn't enough room available to accommodate everyone interested in the major. If I attend, I'll see if there's any way I can change it.

Dab do you and your friends have all of the pre-bio pre-reqs done?

ucsb said that financial aid for transfers should be available in about two weeks. they're doing freshmen first for whatever reason.

Scienceguy- we do. Per assist.org we have completed everything. We also did our course update back in January...admin&records mentioned that may hold it up.

I'm thinking they at least get 1 day off?

Lol I'm anticipating denial because I have half done, they make it seem like its mandatory but my friend got in with 2 completed because he had a great record as well as ECs and a pretty good job. I have some great ECs and I had a great job too but I'm willing to bet I will get denied. He got lucky.
