I am a senior in high school right now and i am wondering how tag works. Like what GPA do you need to get it and do you apply for it your second year? also do people ever get denied when they apply for one?
Jleem. You need at least 30 CC units to apply and 60 units at the fall semester before applying. The requirements vary for each school, you can google UC tag and read the requirements for each school I'm on my phone so can't do it for you. It is guaranteed admission if you stay above the UC gpa requirement have 30/60 units when applying and transferring and anything else they tell you to maintain. Next year it will be only 6 UC's participating all except UCLA UCB and UCSD. But there are transfer opportunities to those UC usually for local CCC student kind o like tag but it is called tap the gpa right now is like 2.8-3.5 the higher the ranking the more requirements.
@emprex: the individual UC's should have it listed somewhere on their page when they let you know. I just know UCSD doesn't let you know early like say UCI does.
