My opinions not worth much . Some UC's don't even read the personal statement ...

I'd just focus on getting awesome grades ...

No, they will only consider whatever grades are out by early January (or whenever you update the grades). Although they may give you certain requirements for spring semester. ie. Get a B in Econ to get acceptance.

i few months ago i would have been on board with everyone saying the 60 units minimum is firm but i met a friend at UCSD that got into structural engineering with only 59 units. he was originally denied but he appealed the decision and got in.

Andrew- hmm so when do you think the deadline is to update?

Diamond-thatd be nice but it would still be up in the air with my acceptance so im just going to expect if i dont have 60 ill be denied

I don't think this is true, but it would make more sense to take CLEP tests which are intended for college students.

hey i am planning on going to sbcc. what do you guys think? is it worth it or should i go to UC merced and transfer out? how hard is it to get courses at sbcc and can i do it in 2 years?
