transferable math course?

Would Astronomy 1 taken at a UC count as "one transferable math course that has a prerequisite of intermediate algebra or higher" when applying to transfer to another UC? It fulfilled an Area C (Science, Math and Tech) as well as the quantitative relationship requirement for the UC I attend. (I also took it P/NP and passed)

From what I understand if you finish ALL of your current UC's GE requirements BEFORE you transfer then the class will stand. But if you transfer still needing some basic GE courses you will have to meet the requirements of the school you transfer into. At which point the class will have to be evaluated by that UC. But please, other chip in on this because I am not completely positive on this.
