Retake a C's

I was wondering if I were able to retake a class that I have a C's on it. For some reason, I took a class in community college that is equivalent to another class I took in another community college that I have a C's on it. To let you, I did not know both class were equivalent to each other. So I got C's the first time, but retake it and got a A's the second time. How would UC's look upon this and how would it calculate my GPA?

They'll only take the C and not the A.

So does it mean that the A's would not count at all. Don't they average it up?

You can't retake C's. Only F's and D's. If you got a C and you retook it again for an A, it will average out to a B. So pretty much nothing changes.

So you're saying, they do average those two grades up? Are you sure for the UC's?

I don't think that's right. The UCs don't allow you to retake Cs so they would disregard the A. Only the C would count in your GPA.

Okay, different question.

If I got a D on one course, but repeat it at different community college and got an A's? Would that recent grade be count it and that D's will be thrown out?

yeah the D would be thrown out of the GPA but you would still have to report it on your app.

Yeah, if they allowed me to retake my C's my GPA would be far stronger than it is. Ironically, if you fail a course you have more leeway to up your GPA than taking a C T___T"
