| I was also rejected from SDSU. What are they thinking? I got in as a freshman too. Maybe because I was applying as a business major. I have no idea why you were rejected. |

| I also applied for bus admin. I'm fairly certain that I was rejected because I had too few pre-reqs and most of the transfer admissions went to the TAG program. |

| Accepted: UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCSD
Rejected: None.
Applied from: Pasadena City College
Major: English
Cumulative GPA: 3.49
Transferrable GPA: 3.49
Pre-Req's completed: Yes all except for UCB's reqs.
Relevant transfer programs: IGETC (No transfer agreements).
Relevant EC's: None.
Work Experience: Was a manager for 2 years at a Ben & Jerry's. LA Times freelance gig.
Essay: I wholeheartedly believe that my essays played a major part in my acceptance to these schools.
Comments: In high school, I had a mini-epiphany catching a glimpse of the bill for UCSD on my father's desk, and decided to take the unconventional route [at least this is in my high school] of a community college. People were initially pretty adverse to my going to 2-year and transferring. Screw them. I saved money, made money, and got into the schools I really wanted. |

| Hey west Nile,
I have a similar GPA and I want to transfer to UCSD or LA into the Neuroscience major. I'm a volunteer at the UCSF Emergency Department. Do you think your volunteering at Highland played a good part in transferring? Thanks! |

| I just thought bumping this would help some of those UCB applicants with no access to average GPA info out. |
