Up to what semester does UCLA look at my grades?

I'm a CC student looking to transfer for Fall 08 to UCLA. Right now, I have a low GPa, but after this fall semester I may be able to pull it up. Does UCLA look at my CC Summer 2008 GPA (right before the fall 08 session)? Or do they cut it off at my fall 07' gpa?

They do look at your CC summer 08 GPA but it doesn't effect your admission.
Yah! fall is your last chance to raise up your GPA! Good luck!

Torrancecali, thank you for the prompt response. So, If I raise my GPA this FALL 07, I'm good? Fall 07's the last semester they look at?

They will still look at your Spring 08 grades after you are admitted. If you do poorly your admission may be rescinded.

yah. up to fall 08 it effects your admission but you still have to maintain your GPA until spring/summer. Don't do bad. I saw some ppl who got rescinded after acceptance.

haha, well that was random. Anyhoo, the feeling is all but mutual; I'm just trying to help as many transfers on here as possible, but I'm certainly not in it for the gratitudes. I naturally feel indebted to the transfer cause.

Anyway, congrats again on UCLA

so when they make their decision to accept you, they are making that decision WITH fall 07 grades?

i understand they take fall 07 and spring 08 in consideration, but is the choice made with fall 07 grades in front of them, or they are just updated and considered to maintain the acceptence?

So basically, if someone applied with subpar grades in October or November, they wouldn't be considered anyway, but anyone is who is borderline or above can improve their chances with the fall grades that are submitted after applying? Thats good.

What about other non-UC schools that use rolling admission?
