That depends on the reason(s) why you chose UCI.

UCI is a good school. I mean UCLA is great, but if you feel UCI is the best way to attain your goals, go for it!

First-congratulations in getting accepted to both schools. Not an easy thing to do this last year!...Generally speaking most people will choose UCLA over UCI given the opportunity...but....UCI has some incredible opportunities that may not come by attending UCLA. You now need to decide whether those opportunities have more weight that the "pretige" factor of a degree from UCLA. There are no wrong answers, just what you feel is right for yourself. Good Luck!

I liked UCI campus as well as the surrounding area. Very quiet from what I saw. If UCI has a major that you are more interested in and UCLA does not have a comparable one than you should go with UCI. Same reason I chose UCLA over UCB.

| If you like something about UCI enough to where you would question your admittance to UCLA, do it. Academics at all UC's are comparable, so if you don't mind not having the LA in your UC, then no worries.
Just make sure you think about the reasons and that those reasons satisfy you. AKA listen to APOL.

UCI is a great school. I know a lot of people who opted to go to UCI over UCLA. (ie closer to home, quieter less distraction city, safer city, scholarships, less competition than UCLA, internship opportunities)

Even if I had received full-run for UCI and 0 scholarship for UCLA, I'd still have chosen UCLA, hands down.

UCI is incredible with its undergrad research, nice campus and dorms and smaller size. It's pretty close to the beach too, the only thing I would say UCLA has over UCI is prestige, and UCLA has a ton of it. My top choices for a UC right now is UCI and UCLA, but with the traffic, cost of living and overpopulation of UCLA, UCI is really starting to appeal to me.
