Possible to finish off units summer before transfer?
Entering this fall semester I have 15 UC Transferable units. I am going to be applying to UCs this coming November for fall 08 admission. I am currently enrolled for 21 Units this fall, and will likely take a similar number in the spring. Is it acceptable to complete the remaining units during the summer before fall 08? It will likely be 3-6 units.
I see. I just finished checking some of the sites, UCD, UCB, UCSB all require 60 units by the end of spring. Seems doable, I am really hoping for fall 08 admission, but complications in my first semester at cc stopped me from accumulating a normal amount of units.
it's too bad you don't at least have 30 units because UCD has a guaranteed transfer agreement...you can pull it off but that is allot of units to be carrying each semester, you might want to wait until next year & have UCD as a safety school.
Yah, I wish I could've been able to qualify for that TAG...especially since UCD is my first choice. An extra year is an option, however I know if I put in the time I should be able to accomplish the load. Maybe i'll just give it a shot and if it proves to be too much, Ill drop some classes and take another year at cc =/

Ah, thankfully I just learned that a class I took, Intro to Business, is actually UC Transferable (didn't think it was). That brings it down to 21/21 fall/spring. Still quite a lot, but to be honest, those 3 more units really freaked me out. Much more comfortable now at this load.
Well, prepare to have no life, and do not work more than 10h/week with that intense load of units. Yes, you can pull that off, but it ain't gonna be easy.
