Yeah banking is really cut throat. As long as you get job as an SA Junior-senior year at a BB your most likely set, unless you screw up and don't get an offer.

wharton school:

What was your GPA when you applied for transfer into Amherst? What were your SAT scores?

Just wondering because i am thinking of applying there next year as a transfer and I'd like to know what I need to have a serious chance of getting in.

Thanks

I dunno wharton, on average 75-80% of SA get offers, and that's during one of the greatest economic booms ever. In the next year or two, when this market regulates itself, it will be hard as hell getting an IB job....even from the top schools.

Don't do it yams, you have a lot to live for! But I really don't think Mojojojo is going to stop hating on UCLA anytime soon. Sorry.

@ Wharton School

It's unfair though to say how UCLA is not even the top 3 uni in the state because as far as I am concerned, California education institutions bring shame to the rest of this country. Name one school outside of California, and there is pretty much an equivalent or better within California.

Quick Examples

Harvard Law or Business ---->SCU Law, Stanford. Haas, USC, among others...
Engineering ----> Cal, Cal Tech, Stanford need I say more lol.

So top 3 is a bit concise. I think UCLA stands up pretty well considering it's company in this state, and that speaks volumes.

@ niggit42

That is one way to look at it. However, most graduates stay in-state, so they are competing with people from, mostly other California schools, such as cal, CIT, and Stanford. Thus, being perceived as "worse."
