So far @ De Anza I've been relying on the advice of only ONE counselor, and after all the horror stories I've been hearing I would like to get a second opinion.
This is probably an easy question to answer but, who should I contact if I wanted to make sure that my coursework and everything was on track for the major I want to enroll in at UCLA?
Is there any kind of service where potential transfer applicants can call and speak with a counselor / adviser for 30-45 minutes?
Sorry my question was a bit unclear. De Anza has plenty of counselors, however my issue is that I have very specific questions regarding AP credits which could make / break my application. That's why I wanted to talk to someone at UCLA and confirm that everything is in order.
At De Anza, make sure you're visiting the transfer center counselors, and not the De Anza counselors (the de anza counselors are in the front, whereas the transfer center counselors are around the back behind the career center). I learned the hard way that there's a difference. If you have a specific question that they won't be able to answer you for sure, they call the transfer rep at the school right in front of you. And you can also call UCLA as well.
